From November 15 to 17, the Leadership Meeting 2022 of the INTA – International Trademark Association took place in Miami.
Unlike the annual congress, this event is more exclusive and aimed only at members who actively participate in the association’s committees.
CNV was represented by its Senior Partner Rafael Garutti, a member of the INTA Committee of Harmonization of Trademark Laws and Practices.
During the event, the 2022-2025 strategic plan was reinforced, which will have three basic pillars: promoting and reinforcing the value of brands, building a better society through brands and supporting the development of intellectual property professionals.
In addition to the meetings of each committee, the event brought educational lectures to assist in the career of professionals and also highly relevant and current debates, such as: diversity, ESG, NFTs, metaverse and trademark rights in outer space.
Our Senior Partner Rafael Garutti is the only Brazilian in the Committee of Harmonization of Laws and Trademark Practices. This committee studies and analyzes international trademark agreements, treaties and classifications.
In the sub-committee of international trademark classifications, Rafael coordinates the work and studies of class 09. Class 09 is considered TOP 1 in number of requirements. This is due to the large number of orders for digital products contained in this class.
The congress also enabled, through networking sessions, the contact and exchange of experiences between professionals in the world.
