Considering Brazil will join the Madrid Protocol Brazilian PTO published this Tuesday (September 3rd) the Resolution No. 245/2019 concerning the Co-Ownership of Trademarks.
This Resolution allows a trademark to be claimed by more than one applicant. Keep in mind that applicants in a Co-Ownership regime must exercise effective activity concerning the claimed goods or services.
The Resolution will take effect on October 2, 2019.
